PubSpy discovered the making of their liqueurs is as an age old artisan skill handed down by generations of ardent distillers. 1770 Distillery make all of their liqueurs in hand made copper pot stills. They believe copper based stills offer the opportunity to produce a finer liqueur. The use of fresh ingredients also adds to the unique quality and flavour. All of their liqueurs are made with fresh fruits, herbs and spices.

It was John's dream to have a distillery and that is what led both John and Debra to the beautiful seaside Town of 1770 / Agnes Water in Queensland. The dream materialized after being bitten by the distilling bug whilst living in Tasmania. It was there that both John and Debra developed their distilling skill under the ever watchful eye of both Bill and Lyn Lark of the Lark Distillery
