PubSpy found this modern country pub has a thatched roof and a timber and stone interior. PubSpy also recommends a drop of local wine next to the open fireplace or out on the verandah. Overall, Lake King Tavern is a beautiful rammed earth building with cathedral ceilings. The tavern is light and open, and features a straw ceiling and huge Oregon trusses. The bar boasts a great selection of beer and wine, and the restaurant has a full menu of Australian pub cuisine plus specials changing daily. In winter there is a large open fire roaring and leather couches to relax and get cosy upon. Highly recommended.
